Description
Retail - Totopos (Tortilla Chips)
La Tortilleria’s Totopos are authentic artisan tortilla chips, crafted using time-honoured Mexican methods that set them apart from conventional supermarket corn chips. Made from wholegrain, stone-ground corn tortillas, these chips undergo a traditional nixtamalization process, enhancing their flavour and texture. The result is a deliciously crunchy chip with a deep, toasted corn taste, designed to hold up to dipping and layering without crumbling.
Perfect for gourmet food retailers, these totopos offer a premium alternative to mass-produced options, making them an excellent addition to specialty grocery stores, delis, and fine food markets. Their authentic flavour and superior texture appeal to discerning customers looking for high-quality Mexican ingredients that elevate home cooking.

Gerardo, a Mexico City native, moved to Australia and saw the need for real Mexican food, leading him to co-found La Tortilleria. He is also an adventurer and culinary storyteller, having summited Mount Everest and hosted a six-part television series on Mexican cuisine. Diana, with a background in anthropology, discovered the art of nixtamal tortilla-making while studying in Mexico. She is passionate about sustainable food systems and preserving culinary heritage.
Together, they built La Tortilleria into a brand that is now recognised for its commitment to authenticity, quality, and craftsmanship. Their products provide high-end retailers with an opportunity to offer something truly unique—premium Mexican food that is a world apart from mass-market alternatives.
