Mount Zero Australian Chickpeas are of the premium Kabuli variety, originally derived from Afghanistan. Larger in size and lighter in colour than other chickpea types, Kabuli chickpeas are valued for their creamy texture and naturally sweet flavour, especially when cooked from dry rather than canned.
Grown in the Wimmera region of Victoria, these organic chickpeas are a nutritious pantry staple, ideal for both traditional and modern dishes.

Cooking Instructions
Soak chickpeas in plenty of water for at least 6 hours or overnight
Drain and discard any discoloured beans
Add to boiling water and simmer for 25 minutes to 2 hours, depending on texture preference
