Tasmanian Pickled Walnuts - 2.13kg
Description
Tasmanian Pickled Walnuts
Coaldale Pickled Walnuts are a traditional English-style pickle with a vinegary tang and a uniquely rich and complex flavour. The walnuts are harvested while still green, before their shells form, and pickled using an old, hand-written recipe passed down through generations of the Dening family.
The pickling process begins at Christmas time, when each walnut is hand-picked, sorted, and carefully pricked to allow the brine to penetrate fully. The process results in tender, dark black walnuts with a deep, tangy, slightly sweet flavour.
