Description

Mount Zero Wholegrain Freekeh – 1.5kg

Freekeh is an ancient grain made from young green wheat, traditionally roasted over wood fires to burn away the husk and unlock a distinct nutty, smoky flavour. The term freekeh comes from the Arabic word faraka, meaning “to rub,” which refers to the process of removing the husk from the dried grain.

After roasting, the grain is further dried and then either cracked or left whole. Mount Zero’s version uses the wholegrain, offering maximum nutritional value and a pleasantly chewy texture.
