Vanilla Beans - A Grade - 1kg
Description
Vanilla Beans – A Grade
These A-Grade Tahitian vanilla beans (Vanilla Tahitensis) are sourced from the lush, tropical regions of northern Papua New Guinea (PNG). Organically grown, the beans are carefully harvested after a full nine months of maturation to ensure optimal flavour and aroma. Following harvest, the beans undergo a two-month conditioning process that enhances their rich, complex profile. The result is a vanilla with floral, fruity, and floral notes that set it apart from other varieties.
The beans are large, plump, and free from blemishes, making them an excellent choice for all culinary uses.
Tasting Notes
- Flavour Profile: Tahitian vanilla has a more floral and fruity flavour profile, with subtle cherry, almond, and licorice notes. It's often described as more aromatic than Bourbon vanilla.
- Characteristics: These beans are typically shorter and plumper, with a rich, glossy skin. They are prized for their more exotic and complex flavours.
