Cava Vinegar - 1L
Description
Gardeny Cava Vinegar
Gardeny Cava Vinegar is made from a blend of the three classic Spanish cava grape varieties: Macabeo, Xarel·lo, and Parellada. About the Producer
Gardeny is the flagship brand of Badia Vinagres, a fifth-generation, family-owned vinegar house based in Mollerussa, in the province of Lleida, Catalonia. Established in 1908, the company is currently led by sisters Judit and Marta Badia Costa, who continue their family's legacy of crafting high-quality, artisanal vinegars.
The company's flagship brand, Gardeny, is named after the Castell de Gardeny, a 12th-century Templar fortress situated on a hill overlooking the city of Lleida. This historic site symbolises strength, tradition, and craftsmanship—qualities that inspire the Gardeny range of vinegars.
Gardeny Vinagres benefits from its location in Lleida, one of Spain's most important fruit-producing regions, often referred to as "the orchard of Catalonia." The area's Mediterranean climate, fertile plains, and long growing season yield fruits and grapes of exceptional flavour and ripeness, providing the ideal raw materials for outstanding wine and vinegar production.
By sourcing from this abundant local terroir, Vinagres ensures that every vinegar begins with the highest quality base ingredient. Using slow, natural fermentation and carefully selected wines, the company produces a wide variety of vinegars—each marked by refined acidity, aromatic depth, and balance.
