Vannella Cheese is a family-owned and operated business based in Marrickville, Sydney. Founded by Vito Minoia, a master cheesemaker with over 50 years of experience, Vannella Cheese traces its roots back to Conversano, Puglia, in southeastern Italy. In 2004, the Minoia family relocated to Australia, bringing with them traditional Italian cheesemaking techniques. They initially established their business in Cairns to be close to dairy herds and later moved to Sydney to bring their fresh cheese closer to consumers.

Production Process

Vannella's buffalo mozzarella is handcrafted using time-honored methods. The cheese is made from 100% unadulterated buffalo milk, sourced from single-origin, grass-fed buffalo in Victoria. Live cultures fermented from whey are used in the production process, reducing waste and enhancing the cheese's natural flavors.
