Raw Natural Pumpkin Seeds - 1kg

Australia's only locally-grown pumpkin seeds, cultivated from an heirloom Styrian variety in the Ovens Valley of North East Victoria. The Styrian pumpkin is grown specifically for its seed, which develops naturally without a shell, so it reaches the bag whole and unprocessed. Dark green, nutty in flavour and chemical-free, the seeds are naturally high in protein, zinc and magnesium.

The difference from a standard pepita is significant. Pepitas are hulled kernels from common pumpkins, processed to strip the tough outer husk and shipped from overseas as a commodity-grade product. Pepo Farms' seeds skip that processing entirely. The result is a larger, deeper-green seed with a rich, toasted nuttiness, where a pepita tends to read bland and one-note.

Use them raw as a bar snack, scatter over salads and grain bowls, fold through breads and granolas, or finish a cheese board for crunch and colour.

Pepo Farms grows Australia's only heirloom pumpkin seeds at their farm on the Great Alpine Road in Ovens, North East Victoria. The same site is home to The Artisan Mill, Australia's first community oil and flour mill, where Pepo Farms presses cold-pressed seed and nut oils and crafts gluten-free flours alongside a network of regenerative growers. Everything is grown, cracked, pressed and packed on the farm, minimally processed to keep the seeds fresh and the nutrients intact.
