Organic Quinoa - 1.5kg
Description
Mount Zero Organic Australian Quinoa
Pronounced keen-wa, quinoa originates from the Andes Mountains of South America, but Mount Zero proudly sources its quinoa from the Damen Family farm in Northern Tasmania, where it is grown organically and in alignment with Mount Zero’s values of regionalism and sustainability.
Quinoa is a nutritional powerhouse—gluten-free, naturally low in glycaemic index (GI 51), and richer in protein than any other grain. It is also a complete protein, meaning it contains all nine essential amino acids, making it an ideal grain for vegetarians, vegans, and health-conscious eaters.
Cooking Instructions
Rinse thoroughly before cooking to remove natural saponins (which can taste bitter)
Once rinsed, quinoa cooks to a light, fluffy texture with a subtle nutty flavour
