These Manzanilla olives are hand-stuffed one by one with whole blanched almonds. The Manzanilla variety takes its name from the Spanish for "little apple," a reference to its rounded, plump shape.

The olives are grown in Arahal, a small town in the province of Seville, Andalusia, roughly 45 kilometres south of the city. Arahal sits at the heart of Spain's table olive country and is one of the nation's largest producers, with an olive-growing tradition stretching back centuries. The town celebrates its harvest each September with the Feria del Verdeo, a festival dedicated to the green olive pick. It is this deep, generational expertise that sets Arahal's Manzanilla apart from mass-produced alternatives.
